Tiered Pricing

For all camp sessions, we offer a voluntary three-tiered pricing model based on the needs of our families. This program is completely confidential and in no way affects the quality of the camp experience. Price selection is done strictly on an honor system. If you can afford to pay the full fee (Tier 1), please do so. If you cannot, simply select the price which is right for your family’s circumstances. You’ll be given the option to choose your rate during the registration process.*

Tier 1 represents the actual cost of camp operations, including long-term wear, tear and depreciation. If you are able to pay this rate, please do so.

Tier 2 reflects the basic cost of attending camp including food, staff, program supplies and limited maintenance expenses.

Tier 3 is a subsidized rate, funded by donations to the greatest extent possible, and provided for families whose children would not otherwise be able to attend camp.

For families who are unable to pay the Tier 3 pricing, camperships are available through the generosity of donors to the Kansas 4-H Foundation. To apply for a campership, please complete the Campership Application.

Thanks to a generous donation to the Kansas 4-H Foundation the LIT & CIT program can be attended at no cost. Please complete this Letter of Interest to receive instructions on how to register!

Explorers

Ages 8-10 (Rising 3rd-5th graders)

Our youngest campers will work on gaining their independence, making new friends and discovering the larger world around them. While at camp they will enjoy archery, swimming, intro to horses, BBs, corcls, our giant swing and many more fun activities! This group will also have the highest staff to camper ratios.

Trailblazers

Ages 11-13 (Rising 6th-8th graders)

This group has greater access to activities and will spend time with more campers in their age group and work on skills development. Activities include aerial archery, swimming, horses, rifles, canoes, climbing wall and more!

Adventurers

Ages 14-17 (Rising 9th-12th graders)

The oldest group in our “traditional” camp. Adventurers spend most of their time at activities they choose along with other campers in their group. Activities are at the top tier of RSR offerings including 3D archery, swimming, horses, trap shooting, kayaks, high ropes
and zipline.

Leaders-in-Training (LIT)

Ages 14-16 (Rising HS sophomores & juniors)

This immersive experience empowers youth to find their voice and transition into leaders ready to serve their communities. Teens participate in camp activities and challenges while also learning leadership development and civic engagement skills. During the week teens bond and find a sense of belonging through teambuilding, leadership skill development, and generosity.

Counselors-in-Training (CIT)

Ages 16-17 (Rising HS seniors)

Teens ages 16 to 17-year, especially rising 12th graders, come to camp as part of our Counselors in Training (CIT) Camp. They will be given responsibility over a group of younger campers from breakfast to bedtime. These teens will receive camper care training and counselor experience, but they will also have “camp” time with their peers built into each day.

The CIT program is a fun and wonderful way to explore what it means to be a beginning leader and a mentor and is a good fit for young people who may want to explore a career in education, early childhood care or other related fields. The program also covers important skills such as learning how to give and receive feedback, set and achieve goals, resolve conflict, plan and lead activities and build confidence. Time in this program also looks good on college applications.

Being a CIT is an opportunity to provide leadership to younger campers while also having their own community and camp experiences, all with the mentorship and supervision of our youth development staff.

Mini Camp

Mini-Camp is a 3 day/2 night experience for rising 1st-3rd graders. This is a great introductory program for campers who are not old enough to attend traditional 4-H camp or may thrive with a shorter length camp. Mini-Camp will be in smaller groups with higher ratios of staff to campers.

Specialty Camp

Specialty Camps offer unique, hands-on experiences that allow campers to develop new skills, build confidence, and make lasting memories. Whether it’s working with horses, learning outdoor leadership, or exploring culinary arts, each camp provides a chance to grow in a fun and supportive environment.

Ranch Camp (Rising 6th-9th graders)
This action-packed program combines riding lessons with practical horse care skills, giving campers a well-rounded education on what it takes to care for and bond with these majestic animals.  From mucking stalls to mastering horseback riding techniques, Ranch Camp offers a full spectrum of horse-related activities that teach responsibility, teamwork, and respect for animals.

Shooting Sports Camp (Rising 6th-9th graders)
Shooting Sports Camp blends the excitement of archery, rifles, and trap shooting with lessons in sportsmanship, leadership, and firearm safety. Campers will leave with a deeper respect for safety and responsibility, all while having fun and making memories.

Cooking Camp (Rising 6th-9th graders)
This summer, Cooking Camp invites campers to immerse themselves in cooking, nutrition, and sustainable dining, all while developing culinary skills and learning the importance of healthy food choices in a dynamic, hands-on setting.

Outdoor Wilderness Leadership Skills (OWLS) Camp (Rising 6th-9th graders)
OWLS Camp is an exciting outdoor adventure program where campers learn essential wilderness skills like fire safety, camp preparation, and hiking. Through hands-on activities such as hammock camping and boating, participants build confidence and leadership while exploring the natural world.
