Welcome to Rock Springs Ranch
In 1945, three-hundred and forty-eight acres of land was purchased that would become the new home for Kansas 4-H camp. In 1946, 4-H members and supporters raised the funds to pay off the mortgage which was ceremoniously burned. They did this before the first camping season had even begun.
Since then, Rock Springs Ranch has been host to generations of campers. Each one leaves thinking just a little bit bigger than when they arrived. They believe in themselves, in each other and in possibilities as vast as the Flint Hills prairie.

The Flint Hills
Rock Springs Ranch is nestled in the heart of the Flint Hills of Kansas, one of the last remaining stretches of Tallgrass Prairie. This vast landscape is defined by sweeping horizons, rolling hills, and star-filled skies that stretch endlessly above.
Our connection to the prairie runs deep, and we are dedicated to its preservation. Only about 4% of Kansas' original prairie remains, and here at Rock Springs, we work tirelessly to protect the 735 acres that make up our land. Additionally, the ranch is located on top of one of the largest ground springs in Kansas, providing all the water needed to sustain our operations.
So Much More Than Just Camp
Rock Springs Ranch doesn’t just host Summer Camp, we also offer other youth opportunities, including field trips and youth groups. Our facilities are open year-round and available for business meetings, corporate retreats, family reunions and other special events.
