We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Cabin Counselor

This role primarily leads campers age 8-17 who are attending traditional overnight camp and ensures that they have a successful week. Working alongside your co-counselor & your campers to plan each session and help have the best week of camp! Also, you will be expected to assist campers with group living, facilitate relationship building, and personal development while playing an active role in all camp activities. Counselors should enjoy working outdoors and with youth.

LIT & CIT Leader

This role leads teens ages 14-17 in the leadership development programs including Leaders In Training and Counselors In Training. Previous experience working at camp and with teens is highly encouraged.

Lead Counselor

This is a supervisory position, and previous camp counseling and leadership experience is required. This role supervises a team of cabin counselors, coach staff in working with campers, and facilitate logistics for your staff team. You will provide regular feedback and support for staff, assist with cabin group scheduling, troubleshoot issues that arise among your staff and campers, assist with camper behavior problems, and hold meetings to communicate camp-wide information to your staff.

Leadership Adventure Course Lead

As the Leadership Adventure Course Lead, you will facilitate our high ropes challenge course, zipline, giant swing, rock climbing, low ropes & teambuilding. This role is responsible for the safe & efficient operation of both the high and low ropes courses. Also, this leader supervises & evaluates other ropes trained staff to ensure that participants & staff are safe at all times. Mandatory training led by industry professionals at camp is required prior to summer.

Conservation Lead

Conservation specialists organize and teach campers about the environment, wildlife, prairie and of course our natural spring. Conservation Leads are also asked to evaluate and update program lessons. Consider this position if you are looking for an internship!

Shooting Sports Lead

Shooting Sports Lead facilitates programming and focuses on safety: traditional archery, 3D archery, aerial archery, bb, rifle and trap ranges. Also, this role is responsible for range management, equipment maintenance, and supervising other shooting sports trained staff. Must be21 years of age or older to apply.

Aquatics Lead

Aquatics Lead is responsible for the safe & efficient operation of swimming pools, canoes, and kayaks. Also, responsible for supervising & evaluating other lifeguards to ensure that participants & staff are safe at all times. Current lifeguard certification is encouraged but not required. There is a lifeguard course available prior to summer, if needed.

Arts and Crafts Lead

Arts & Crafts Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic crafts program that matches the skills of different age groups. This position is designed to be fun and creative and should bring an inspiring perspective that allows for campers to engage into projects while also allowing them to provide their creative spins on the craft.

Digital Media Lead

Digital Media Lead is responsible for capturing the excitement of campers in action each day and uploads photos and videos for families to see. While doing this they also manage & create content for Rock Springs Ranch's social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, and more! Each day is never the same and often changes based upon the camp schedule.

Equine Support

Also known as wranglers, these specialists take care of the horse herd as well as facilitate trail rides and teach an intro to horses program for the youngest campers at Rock Springs Ranch.

Camp Instructor

As an Instructor with our retreats and conferences program, you will help adults and students reconnect with one another, explore the outdoors, celebrate their successes, and support their social-emotional learning growth while engaging in a fun day or overnight camp experience.

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Availability of 5 days a week with overnights
- Team-oriented and adaptable
- Willing to complete required certifications (provided)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for an extended period of time, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, have finger dexterity, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment.

Dates of Employment
This is a seasonal, full-time position. Positions are available during the Spring (early April - early June), available to transition to being a camp counselor during the summer, and Fall (late August-early December). Instructors are encouraged and welcome to apply for our summer camp team!
